Creepy cool...

The cake on the left was inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. "The couple loved that movie and thought it would be a fun theme for their cake! They provided the Jack & Sally figures to me, and gave me free reign on the design… their only request was that it be topsy turvey and have stripes on the middle tier... The design on the board is inspired by Jack’s wonky pinstripe suit, and the top tier by Sally’s patchwork dress. The design of the bottom tier is a very elaborate wrought-iron fence and gate in the movie. The middle of the gate is actually a stylized skull pattern!"

After the wedding, Melissa received a thank you note from the couple who were raving about the design. "The wedding cake was wonderful. It was the most amazing and creative cake I have ever seen. We received endless ohhs and ahhs about the cake..."

The cake on the right was inspired by another Tim Burton animation, Corpse Bride.
