Over the years, countless brides have made a point to tell The Ring how much they love Alicia Riley Photography, and it’s easy to see why. Alicia Riley has all the ingredients of our favourite local photographers. She’s fun, energetic, her past brides rave about her, and she shoots fabulous, creative, candid photos.
Alicia’s work is often featured in The Wedding Ring Magazine, her photo booth at The Ring’s K-W Wedding Expo was a complete smash, and she’s proven that she knows what brides want in a wedding photographer. So, from a natural and timeless shooting style and competitive prices to an ‘above and beyond’ mantra that includes an exceptional experience from start to finish, it’s obvious that Alicia is a much-loved choice for Southwestern Ontario brides (and beyond!). Here’s everything you need to know about Alicia Riley Photography…
Armed with a camera in hand, Alicia was sixteen years old when she began assisting a Master of Photography with wedding photography and custom framing- all the while experimenting with her own SLR camera in her spare time. Her creative eye later lead to a career in graphic design- graduating with a diploma from Conestoga College and enjoying a successful career in the GTA.
Today, Alicia is definitely in-demand, shooting up to twenty-four weddings per year with over 125 weddings completed so far in her career. She is also careful not to book more than twenty-four weddings each year, in order to give her clients her undivided time and attention throughout the entire wedding process.
After so many weddings, Alicia says she couldn’t imagine doing anything else, “Photography is an art form that is constantly evolving. A camera is a tool to capture light that has endless possibilities. I love that I will never stop learning and there are so many other wonderful photographers and brides out there to motivate and inspire me to continually challenge myself.”
Alicia describes her style as, “candid posing mixed with a quirky personality that makes you relax and feel completely comfortable.” Although Alicia has worked with all kinds of wedding themes, visions and budgets, she calls her couples ‘hard working professionals who spend their money on key things for their wedding’. “My brides are classy and classic, stylish and not afraid to be different, have great taste but don’t go overboard. Their focus at the reception is treating their guests with special touches and throwing a good party.”
For July 3rd, bride, Lauren Manser, having a photographer who she felt 100 percent comfortable with made a difference. Lauren told The Ring, “It felt like one of our friends was taking our pictures… With Alicia we knew that the pictures would be beautiful, natural, and artistic. Alicia is a skilled and talented photographer whose prices are incredibly reasonable… Truthfully, we would’ve paid twice as much for her service because the pictures were so good!”
On the wedding day itself, Alicia is certainly more than your photographer. “I have helped with everything from pinning boutineers, setting up isle floral arrangements, tying up corsets, pinning hair, I’m a councilor, time keeper, co-coordinator. My goal is to do everything under my power to make the entire day as stress free as possible. However, wedding day co-coordinators are worth their weight in gold (for both of us) and if budgets allow, please consider one!”
Liz and Chad Hallman were thrilled with their experiences working with Alicia, noting that Alicia went above and beyond to make their experience enjoyable, “Alicia was so much fun to work with! She was very laid back and always listened to what Chad and I wanted. She never pushed us along or pressured us into pictures we didn’t want. Alicia is so creative in her photography… more than I realized until we saw our final pictures! On a day that can be stressful, with time limitations, Alicia never acted like she felt pressure or that she was rushed… and all of this on a day where she was sick (which I only knew because I too was sick so we supported each other). Alicia went above and beyond our expectations and I cannot wait for her to capture more memorable moments in our lives!”
Alicia offers three fresh and simple packages, allowing you to choose the options that work best suit you. Prices range from $2150 to $3750 and include some stellar free options. Not sure what to pick? Why not try great additions like an engagement session, second shooter, photo booth or custom thank you cards.
Packages start at six hours of coverage and go up to twelve. This helps you easily choose if you would like just the basics or a little bit of everything documented. If you have trouble deciding how much time you need, Alicia works with your schedule and ‘must have list’ to help maximize your time together.
Nadina & Joel Ayer say that getting good quality photography at reasonable pricing was a selling point for them when they hired Alicia for their December 18th (Sunday) wedding. “We got her most expensive bundle… It was a great choice for us… Not only are her services reasonable but she is also very flexible in terms of the product, start time, locations. We could also change those on the day of the wedding if needed.”
