Does anyone even still go on here?

Some of us are getting married in the coming months and come here... but there is no one here? No one to share things with! No one to ask questions!

I know... What's going on?? There's just under 1000 people in The Ring at this exact minute and yet for some reason, they're not feeling confident enough (or interested enough) to come and chat, share advice...

If you have any topic ideas to get things going, let me know. I'll happy to help stir up the pot a little bit.

I wonder the same thing... Sadly, I think it's the new website..
I felt so comfortable coming on the old ring, because I knew everyone, and I always knew there would be a answer for me in a matter of hours.
Now, I just don't know who anyone is, and no one is ever on!

When I was on the old site, I could hardly wait to be in the "30 Days" Club... well, On wednesday, I will be there, and I don't even feel the need/desire to come and update everyone, cuz I miss the old "Ring Family"

The Team @ The Ring is sorry to hear that you guys are feeling this way, as we never like to hear that our brides are unhappy. We do know that when we made the move to the new website and the old chat boards were down for a couple of months while we updated, some of the "old Ring family" moved on, and even when the new chat boards were posted, didn't come back, unfortunately. A lot of them hang out in The Teething Ring now because their weddings are over and now they've got babies and families on the brain.

But, there are still tons of new brides in The Ring and maybe they just need some Ring veterans to show them how it's done and get them involved. The old Ring didn't start out as involved as you guys know it to be. It took a bit of coaxing to get everyone chatting. Maybe we just need to create some hype to get a new Ring family going.

The 30 Days Club is still very exciting and you should definitely still come share your excitement, there are still people just as excited as you are (including The Ring team!).

Like Jenn mentioned, if you guys have any ideas on how we can get people chatting more, let us know. We've been promoting the boards more in Bridal eNews and noticed some more activity over the weekend; so, hopefully things will conitnue in that direction. In the meantime, giving up will just make things worse, so please continue to share your thoughts, questions, advice, etc..

Hi girls,
In 'the old days' (ie the old chat boards), I think it was about more than just the chat boards. They helped create friendships that have lasted for years. In fact, many of those past brides still hang out online to this day, but in our parents site instead.

To unite and indulge in all things weddings, girls would get together, go out for drinks, have pot lucks and more. The Ring also hosted Bridal Basics sessions (wedding planning how-tos), the odd Fantasia party or bridal show/event and other such things. Also, the girls in the boards always responded to posts, whether or not they knew the answers to them, just to show their love and support for another bride on a mission.

I whipped up a few ideas based on the old boards to see if we can get things going again.

See what you think...
