Where did you go?
I have been having trouble lately with both departments.
I am not sure if $50 is too much for hair for everyone including me and the flowergirl?
I also had a makeup person lined up and now they can't do it. I did find someone that is willing to do it, and she is $45.

| Re: Hair & Makeup 2 Years, 5 Months ago | Karma: 0 | I think I paid $100 or $120 for myself that included hair trial, makeup trial, day-of hair and makeup, manicure and pedicure. This was at a salon that is in a more rural area but they did a fabulous job. If you are looking at somewhere in Kitchener I think the price sounds pretty reasonable. I'm not sure if you would want to drive to New Hamburg but if so let me know and I will PM you the name of the salon I went to. I believe just for an updo it's around $35 and makeup is $25 but then you wouldn't have the trial. |

I'm going there mainly because my regular hair-stylist is there and I can't imagine going any where else. I believe my hair and make-up are around $80 each. The bridesmaids will be probably half the price (since they probably don't need a level 3 stylist to do their hair...unless you request it) and they don't need a trial session. I do highly recommend paying for the pre-wedding trial for yourself, I've seen first hand how frustrating and bad it could go, so you don't want to stress yourself out on the big day. |

From my research so far that seems pretty reasonable. I know we are going to my hairdressers salon and I think they are charging $40 or 50 a head for styling and mine includes trial. Which I think is pretty reasonable.
Makeup artist - finding very frustrating, I had a girl lined up and that didn't turn out so now I'm trying to find someone that is good but also reasonable. So far I have been quoted between $40-50 a face.
Overall, I think the big decision is whether your covering the cost or if the girls are. I know I'm still on the fence on this one - though Im going to ask the girls if they have to is this price ok... and then go from there.
I have already booked my hair - now its just makeup. Crazy times! |

I have another though that I am sending the deposit to tomorrow! so hopefully she sticks!
This hair thing is kinda bugging me though.. I have a hairdresser but she can pretty much only come to me and do it..
I think that it would be cool to go to an actual salon and do it! Just get the overall wedding day ambience! But where is it that's not like $70 a head! and still has openings for my day! |

I agree about wanting to go into the salon, though if your struggling w/ the cost and finding a place that hasn't been booked then maybe go for your reg. hair stylists and go out and get your makeup done instead.
